Jermaine Blake

Jermaine joined The Garden’s staff in 2024.
Most recently, he was Series Director on Channel 4’s award-winning 24 Hours in Police Custody, directing films The Predator, A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing and Bedfordshire’s Most Wanted.
Prior to this, Jermaine directed BBC Two’s Two Daughters. The film won an RTS East award and a Criminal Justice Alliance award for best documentary.
Jermaine has also produced and directed Picture Perfect, a single about a child artist in Nigeria that was part of the critically acclaimed CBBC My Life series and was nominated for an international Emmy.
Jermaine cut his teeth directing children’s documentaries for CBBC and Channel 4 factual formats such as The Undateables and Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners. It was on these shows that Jermaine found a passion for shooting. His favourite part of the job is exploring dynamic and diverse visual styles in order to enhance a story.
