Our Culture
We want to be a company in which everyone feels enabled to do their best work. And to do that, we try to create a culture that’s open, fair, inclusive and supportive.
We’re proud that this has been recognised by our peers and employees: we’ve topped both Broadcast and Televisual peer polls and are a Broadcast Best Place to Work in TV. But we’re not complacent about it, and in particular, we’re continuing to take steps to tackle our industry’s very serious problems around inequality, representation and diversity. Our plan includes entry-level opportunities, measures to improve mid-career progression and senior representation, and funding to back our aspirations with action. You can find it here.
We want everyone at the company to feel respected, valued and safe. We have a ‘buddy’ system to ensure that everyone who joins us has someone to talk to about any questions and concerns, and clear policies to deal swiftly and clearly with any issues – which you can find here.
In everything we do, we try to be adaptable and enabling, offering formal and informal help with career development. Many who got their early breaks on our productions are now flourishing at senior levels in commissioning and production. Finally, we try to be approachable, so if you have any questions about working with us, please mail jobs@thegarden.tv and our talent team will pick them up.
