The Garden takes on Grierson DocLab trainee

The Grierson Trust has announced their 12 DocLab trainees for 2023. The prestigious new entrant training scheme aims to provide opportunities to people who may otherwise face difficulties finding a way into the TV industry.

This year’s selected trainees are: Sumaya Abdi (Cardiff), Phebe Brand (Southampton), Coleen Brennan (Edinburgh/Isle of Lewis), Dhillon Clarke (Glasgow), Lucy Cosslett (Girvan), Naomi Grant (London), Ela Griffiths (Cardigan), Hannah Ramezani (London), Melanie Rawson (Sheffield), Lucas Tong (London/Cardiff), and Nerea Zambrano (London). 

Alongside The Garden, other indies signed up to support the trainees include BBC Studios, Blast! Films, Dragonfly, Lightbox, Minnow Films, TwentyTwenty, Wall to Wall, Wise Owl Films, Wonderhood Studios and Zinc Media. More factual producers are set to be confirmed.
