The Garden expands genre mix with double appointment

The factual producer is keen to build on constructed reality projects Squid Game: The Challenge and Alone. 

Company chief executive John Hay and creative director Nicola Brown are eyeing a significantly expanded genre mix after hiring two executive producers – Helen Bart and Jo Harcourt-Smith. 

The factual indie, which is behind long-running Channel 4 staples 24 Hours in A&E and Police Custody, is moving into constructed factual, boxset programming and partnering on factual drama and is boosting its team to help the push.
